Tree Moone resides in this small, tidy flat. There are few things that would identify its owner- a family portrait, black-and-white, taken when Tree was barely old enough to toddle around sits comfortably on the mantletop, but this is the only photograph. The books are varied, showing a slight affinity toward fiction, but revealing little personal preference. There is a are two bedrooms and a bathroom, a small kitchen, and also a small living room. It's not too much of a flat, but it's nice and comfortable. |

Glenn had arrived in Paris and immediately started asking around - and, after a bit, she'd managed to locate what she really hoped was Tree's place. It helped to speak broken French, it really did... Taking a deep breath and hoping she wasn't too late or anything - she would hate to have to tell Blu - she knocked loudly on the door. |

Tree came to the door, answering it as he yawned. He was absolutely exhausted- it had been a long day at work and he was already in his pajamas. Or, at least, semi- in his pajamas. He didn't seem to be wearing a shirt. "Que voulez-vous?" he asked, opening the door to see a girl who looked... maybe seventeen or eighteen. "N'est-il pas après votre heure du coucher?" |

Glenn blinked, as the door was opened. She just sort of stared at him a minute. He was good looking - and young for his age, but not...too young. Definitely older than her. He wasn't wearing a shirt, which sort of...well it was just awkward. "Je m'appelle Glenn," she said, figuring if he was speaking French to her, she might as well put the French phrases her mother had made her learn to good use. "Vous vous appelle Terrence Moone?" she asked, trying to keep her voice from shaking. |

Tree raised his eyebrows. "Oui, je m'appelle Terrence Moone. Pourquoi?" She was looking at him oddly- as though he were some sort of a ghost. It was actually making him a bit uncomfortable and it was only through a lot of self-discipline that he didn't comment upon the strange way she was looking at him. |

Glenn stumbled a bit finding the right words for what she wanted to say - but then, she couldn't tell if it was because he was shirtless, she was standing on his doorstep in the cold, or she just didn't remember. "Je connais votre soeur, Blu?" she said, waiting for his reaction as if she were afraid he was going to explode. |

Tree considered Glenn for a moment, his expression studied and even. "You know my sister... you're English?" he asked after a moment, switching out of French. "What do you want? Er- d'you want to come in?" |

Glenn was so put off guard by Tree in genereal that she didn't even really notice when he switched out of French. "Oui," she said, then blushed. "Yes, I'm English. I know Blu. Or, well, I met her today. It's a long story." She nodded, pulling her red sweater closer around her. "I'd love to come in." |

Tree nodded and opened the door further to allow her entry, "You still haven't explained why you're here," he noted, picking up a sweatshirt and slipping it on. "Sit down?" |

She followed him inside, feeling considerably more comfortable once he had a sweatshirt on, and she wasn't worried that she was staring at his chest. "It's... confusing. I'm a seer, or, well..." She hadn't meant to put it like that. "I'm good with divination. And I was talking to Blu about my ankle, and then I just sort of...I saw you. We didn't figure out it was you until after. And you were falling...and she was really, really worried. And so I came to check on you." She stopped, glared at him a minute, and then said, "She's dying." |

"You saw me... falling?" he asked, perplexed. Suddenly, he caught the tail end of what Glenn had said. "Blu? She's not... she can't be..." He sank into a chair, putting his head in his hands. Yes. She could be, and he wouldn't have known until she was dead, probably later, because he was too damned self-absorbed. After a moment, he spoke again, his voice slightly strangled. "How? Why?" |

"Wow, you do care...she didn't know if you did. She says she misses you...and sends her love." Glenn stopped, looking down. "She has malnesdna," she said. "I'm hoping there's still something anyone can do...but I don't know if she still has hope left." She shook her head. "I don't know how long she has, maybe you should talk to her for once? I don't...know what I'd do if my brother vanished off the face of the planet. I'd miss him like hell." She frowned. "Yes, I saw you falling - I had a vision, you fell - first from right in front of me, then from next to me in a tree, all the way down. I couldn't tell...if you were okay. And usually? That sort of implies that you're not..." She didn't mention the suicide part. Yet. |

"Of course I care!" Tree exclaimed, raising his voice slightly and sitting up. "She's my bloody sister!" He stood, glaring at Glenn. "I don't know who the hell you think you are, but to come in here and suggest that I don't care and say that you've dreamed up all of this about me falling out of trees... You've got a hell of a lot of nerve." |

"Look, I'm sorry," she said, looking down. "I just...I wasn't sure what to expect, coming here, and then you were just...there, and now I don't know what to say, I just know that I shouldn't have to be the messenger to tell you that your sister has a fatal disease." She shrugged. "She...we. We were afraid...that the interpretation meant you were going to kill yourself. She couldn't come, so she asked me to. Or, I offered." |

Tree ran his fingers through his hair, tired and exasperated. "Look... this isn't the best time to talk about this. I have a guest room- you can stay the night and we'll discuss everything in the morning, okay? I didn't mean to blow up at you, it's just... we've spent our entire lives protecting eachother and... I don't know how to deal with this again. Just a little overwhelmed and... I'm sorry. Anyway, like I said, you should stay tonight and then we can figure this all out tomorrow." He watched as she nodded and went to the guest room, shutting the door, and then sat back down, shaking his head slowly as though it would help him to sort out his thoughts. Eventually, he got up and went to bed himself, though his dreams were tormented with nightmares of coffins and his sister. |

Glenn opened her eyes in the morning, very tiredly, and immediately realized where she was. Tree Moone's guest room. She felt awful that she hadn't owled Blu last night, right away. She got up, still in the oversized pajamas he'd loaned her, and headed for the kitchen - which she found, after a bit of searching. After looking in all the cabinets, she found a glass, and got some water, and sat at the table, drumming her fingers impatiently, to wait until Tree was up. |

"Good morning," Tree yawned, stumbling into the kitchen. "I hope you slept well?" She looked decidedly irritated, possibly with him, so he was careful to keep his distance. He had to wonder why she was already angry with him.... |

"You never answered my question last night," she said, quietly, not looking at him. "About the vision...and how we thought you wanted to hurt yourself. Blu needs to know... she wants to. I said I would owl her, I haven't yet, and I feel awful about it. So I need to, but I don't know what to say to her..." She sighed, frowned, and glared at the table. "I'm sorry to interrupt your life but someone had to." |

"Look, just tell her that I'm fine and that I'll come to visit her," he said brusquely, turning away from her to brew a cup of coffee. He didn't really know how to respond to Glenn's question. Would he hurt himself? Possibly, but he didn't care to spill out his life story to some girl he'd hardly met. |

Glenn looked at him expectantly. "Paper? Pen? Owl? I don't carry these things around with me on a regular basis in case I have to suddenly check to make sure someone's brother is still alive." She couldn't help it - she was mad at him for not talking to Blu. She didn't even know him, and he seemed like... just a regular guy. Nothing disgusting. He just... he was quiet, and withdrawn, and she was mad that he couldn't be just a bit more understanding. |
